Discovery 4 Headlights

Hoping somebody can help, I have a Land Rover Discovery 4 2011 SDV6 and I have a very basic model. When I bought the car it had the basic headlights (Halogen) and does not have the L.E.D and Xenon. I recently purchased a European Xenon L.E.D headlight just to try and see if it worked on my car, the L.E.D's worked but the Xenon headlight didn't, the bulb popped as soon as I turned the headlights on. I was going to now buy a set off eBay but the U.K ones as I thought maybe I shouldn't have tried a european set on there as the electrics are different.. Can somebody tell me if I do buy a set of U.K ones off eBay will they work on my car? or will I need to get more re-wiring etc? Bow down

I believe from memory that the D4 is not the same as the D3 and the Xenons are not just plug and play, I believe you have to get them activated by someone who has the right diagnostic equiment, try Wiggs or Geoff

As Russell says you need to get them 'switched on' in the car config. Thumbs Up
If not i think the car detects an error and switches them off ... hence you thinking the bulb had gone Whistle
 Cheers Ian
