Discovery 4 gearbox fault Restricted performance




hi members, may i know what cause “gearbox fault” “Restricted performance“ . My car can’t move at all.

I recently saw this fault on a MY16 D4 (no DEF) but after a 2nd car start that car drove fine with only 'Restricted Performance' being displayed It was also down on power too.

Turned out to be a MAF Sensor B fault., Once the sensor was replaced and faults cleared, the gearbox fault disappeared also.

You might want to check the output voltage of the alternator/ battery, on another car, not a Land rover but BMW with the same gearbox this was the cause.
