QP charge around 5k for 3.0 rebuild. JPSK Motors currently have one rebuilt ready to be shipped/installed on your car - just swap all ancils over - 5k as well.
QP firm's price is £ 5500 plus VAT. If the turbos need to be replaced, it charges an extra £ 1200 for them. He said there would be no extra surprise prices. They gave 5 weeks of waiting time and 10 days of repair time.
I know the engine of my car, so I especially want this engine to be repaired, it is impossible for me to know how tired a new engine will be.
It seems they are very close to me now I sent them a message and asked for a price. Of course, what's more important than the price they give is trust and I'll go check their Garage for that. As far as I have viewed them on Instagram, they seem to be successful.
Thank you so much

I sent a message to Oval Auto and asked a few questions. Although I wrote from WhatsApp, they said call us instead of an answer. Actually all the questions were very straightforward, but I guess she didn't want to send a text message. Frankly, this does not give me confidence.
I gave all the details and I just wanted the price but I didn't understand why it was so hard. I have done a lot of research on this subject and had a hard time, if I find a reliable garage I will share the whole process here.

I would think the exact opposite! Why would you not want to speak to an actual person about potential work? You can get much more info quicker than messaging back and forward!
There are many businesses who don't use WhatsApp or SMS, including three in which I have worked.
Oval Autos really are good, I suggest you call them as they suggest. If after that call you need written confirmation of anything they have said ask them to email you.
Good luck.

I talked to dozens of companies and they all returned by email and message. For a job costing between £ 4000-6000, I'd like to get a written offer first. Beware of anyone who does not want to present anything in writing and leave evidence. Writing a price is not that hard. Moreover, I was thinking of getting my vehicle done in Oval Auto because of everyone's suggestions.
After all, I am a customer and I want it that way, I think it is not difficult to understand this.

The only company you actually "talked" with is Oval autos! Good luck with whoever you go with in the end!

One thing to remember is that main dealership garages employ a host of admin staff to talk to you in your preferred method, voice call, instagram, FB messenger, email etc.
Most independents do not employ people just to do this, they like to concentrate on doing the core business - actually fixing cars. They may have somebody employed on the reception, but they will have a range of tasks to do as well as their customer facing roles.
This is one reason why LR dealership garages have to charge a lot more for their labour.
If Oval (or any other garage) would prefer to speak to you directly rather than through a social media platform, that is their chosen means of operating, it doesn't mean that they are any less trustworthy, just that they don't want to spend time communicating by that means when they feel their time can be better spent in other ways.
I do not know Oval, and have no recommendation either way, other than to listen to what many others are saying on this thread1994 Defender 300tdi 110 commercial

I think you'll find that most of the specialist will actually want a conversation with you before committing to do work for you. Your other options would be Alltrack In Malvern or JAS up toward York.
You have to remember its a big job and complex tying up ramp time for these guys for weeks - I would imagine they have to want to do the job as much as you want them to do the job. The good guys are all incredibly busy and they can probably turn down your offer of work if you don't meet their criteria. If that criteria is to pick up the phone and have a conversation then honestly I'd quite whining and pick up the phone.
Its a limited market and is definitely not a buyers market for specialists to do this sort of work well. Being an "arrogant buyer" can be advantageous if what you are after is freely available. The fact is though that what you are looking for in terms of skill, knowledge, equipment and expertise is not widely available and I would advise you to speak to people and show a humility and willingness to be educated by the people you talk to.
On that basis you will learn a lot and be able to make a decision on who you want to do the work for you and also who "wants" to do the work for you. combining those two together will invariably get you an outcome you will be happy with05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system

I have spoken to them but they give a five week wait time, which is a long time for me. The price they give to do the same job is higher than other companies.
