| Discovery 4 (2010) Drivers wiper not moving |

Hi All,
Just been out to swap the cars around. Its a bit frost o/s, had left the wipers on from yesterday so they started when the car started. noticed that the driver side was not moving in sync with the passenger side, got out and gave it a wiggle and found that it was moving freely up and down by hand I.e. no mechanical tension at all.
So I guess, one possible option is that its slipped of the spline, which I think is a bit unlikely but will check tomorrow (as its bloomin freezing out there). Are there any other reasons that anyone knows about please? and any fixes to do yourself? or is this back to the shop?

Loosen it up, re-position it in the correct position and then nip it up again. 10mm from memory. My D4 went through the PDI with a loose drivers side wiper, and only showed itself when I was on the M40 in the pouring rain!
Easy fix and no long term issue, the spline is tougher then the wiper mount, so it won't have done any damage, just make it a bit tighter.

Nice one, thank you. I've just been o/s and checked and your spot on. Got the socket set out and its sorted. Thanks very much for your help. Esp. as I'm off early in the morning for a walk. Nice to get it sorted. Piece of mind etc.

Both my wipers were replaced last week (under guarantee) after they just stopped wiping correctly.
Very annoying on a car this expensive....
