Discovery 3 harman/kardon audio an logic audio system

Hi guys I just got my discovery 3 at the weekend but I’m looking at putting my pioneer double din in it.
I have found the kit that I think I need on eBay that’s says it works with the harman/kardon system, but says it doesn’t work with the logic 7 audio how do I know what I have got in my discovery thanks

If you have a HSE model chances are that you have a 6-CD changer (it says something like 6CD465) with a number keypad, a phone symbol to the right of the device (even if no BT/phone is installed) and that’ll be the HK Logic7 system.

You can also verify this by pressing the melody button next (to the left) of the volume control and traverse the menus until it says “Logic 7 ON/OFF”. The small speakers next to the mirrors should also say logic 7.

Also if you have a satnav AFAIK you’ll always have the logic 7 system, too.

It does have 6 disc cd changer aswell as sat nav it’s got the speakers near the wing mirrors say harman/kardon and one speaker in the door. As for model it doesn’t say on the back all I know is it’s a 2.7 tdv6 it’s got cream leather interior with heated seats front an rear, but I have nothin that says it’s a hse I will try that tip looking in the radio.

If it was logic 7 it would have 2 speakers in the front door plus the tweeter near the mirror, and 2 speakers in each rear door. A speaker in each rear 'D' post, a sub in the tailgate. Richard

Is the ligic 7 amp under the drivers seat not a black colour rather than a silver non logic amp?

I have just been told it’s a d3 tdv6 se. Doesn’t have 2 speakers in the front doors only one has 2 in the rear doors no speakers in the d posts and as for the sub I would say it has got one.

Discovery 3 HSE 2009 with Harman Kardon (Logic 7) system

Hi Everyone,

I have a Discovery 3 HSE 2009 Petrol

I wanna know the HSE's Harman Kardon system has a speaker on the center of the dashboard ? I'm not sure if its Logic 7 system or not (Pls refer the attached images), I have a six CD Changer

There's a speaker cover on the middle of the dashboard closer to windshield but when I pop the cover there's a provision for a speaker and a jack to connect a speaker

Can anyone help me ?

Look on the door speaker covers by the mirror adjuster it will say what system you have.
There are three choices.

Blank = base system
Harmon Kardon
Logic 7 Andrew

D3 2.7tdv6 2005
D4 3.0 SDV6 Commercial died and gone to LR heaven
D5 3.0 SDV6 HSE
