Discovery 3 engine removal - What do i need to lift the body
I need to remove my Disco 3 engine and according to the Disco 3 workshop manual one has to remove the body. The instructions to do this are in the manual. Have anyone done this? I'd like some tips please. I am especially concerned about the listing point on the body. Does one need a special lifting frame and can I build it myself?

Have a look at Matt's thread. This guy rebuilt a damaged D3 and re-chassis'ed it along the way (twice actually). Long thread but plenty of pictures. I recall he used a forklift to raise the body but really do have a read. Also worth investing in a Faultmate if you don't have one. Such drastic surgery is going to need something reset at the end of it all.
