Discovery 3 Compressor Help.

Hello, new to the site so if this is the wrong section please move it lol.

Anyway i have an '06 discovery here and it keeps buring out compressors, I was thinking it could be a relay?..i gather the relay is located in the fusebox beside the battery but what number etc is it?...also the compressor keeps on running sometimes even after the ignition is switched of....Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I think it is relay 7. If you use the site search, and use the keywords +compressor +relay there are loads of relevant results to read through.

Could well be the relay ... Especially if it's running on after ignition

Have you checked for leaks on the pipes from the compressor and then there is an air silencer/reservior (I can't remember which) accessed by removing the spare wheel. There is an article in the October issue of Land Rover World, where they had a leak and the compressor kept running and burnt out, gives a how to guide for replacing. Thumbs Up
