Discovery 3 Blower (heater) Issue

Hi Guys,

I am starting to have intermittent problems with the blower (fan heater) on my early D3.
When I put the key in the ignition first thing the fan may not come on, or it comes on, I start the engine and it stops, but after a few miles it bursts into life, I cannot find any consistency in this as some days it is fine.
I have tried all the buttons in various sequences
I have tried to reseat the relay near the battery box, but no improvement.
Clearly with the cold weather I want to get this sorted soon...
Anyone had similar problems and know what the fix is.
I wanted to have a bash at fixing this myself before taking in to the local independant..

At least the FBH is working.

Thanks in advance.

Could be working normally? With climate control, it waits until the heater is warm, before speeding up the fans (so a load of cold air isn't blasted into the cabin). I think...

Fixed it

For information I have found the problem.

The relay was pitted and new 40amp relay at a couple of quid from the dealer fixed the problem.
I hope this helps others as either I had a one off faulty relay or they are all susceptable.
