Discovery 3 2.7l gearbox

Hi looking for a little assistance, over the weekend I removed the Transfer box, once free if the gearbox I noticed there is some play in the output shaft of the auto gearbox, I am thinking this could be the source of the noise when decelerating. Or am I jumping to conclusions and a little play is normal.


Any input will be greatly appreciated
