DG, as a rule I do, but I'm blowed if I can find it.
Their Returns and Warranty notes on the website don't make this an explicit term or condition, so now I'm well and truly f ed off with them I'm going to ring them tomorrow and 'ave a word. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I've just ordered the following from Ultraleds:
4 x U38035R(380) 35 Red Led Stop & Tail Bulb (Single) 120% Brighter
2 x 501/194/T10 New Mini Light Tower 9 Leds Xenon White
The DICOVER10 voucher worked fine, saving me about five and a half quid which is not to be sneezed at.
If the post is behaving itself then next weekend I'll be a busy boy fitting them
Then pending the outcome I'll have a look at the rear fogs nd reversing lights, and maybe if I'm feeling brave, or rather the cerdit card is feeling brave, I'll do the interior lights, which look as if some of the fixings have been getting a bit on the warm side due to being on for a long time......
Rob
The post worked well and they were delivered while I was out - but then waiting in for the post is a sure way of making sure it never arrives.
So today I've fitted them. I've had lots (too much) of practice in removing the rear light clusters so they were a piece of cake to do. Then it was the turn of the fronts - Haynes manual style "gently leaver the two locking tags" equated to much struggling and muttering, then I found you can pull them up too far, so fiddled the tags back down again, hoiked the lamp units out and in a matter of minutes had the job done. Looking inside the front lamp housing I see there are two "spare" lamp holders in blanked off holes in the back of the verticle amber bits on the outside of the front face of the cluster. Does anyone have any idea if its legal in the UK to put a bulb behind these strips? If so which set of lights do they work with??
Initial impressions are that the rears look just as bright as the old ones (and another brake light had blown since last weekend!!) and the fronts are most definitly bluer thatn the pale glow worms that were there.
Inspection of the removed bulbs showed they were all looking a little beyond their sell-by dates so if nothing else I've got a set of lights for the winter.....

My sidelight SuperLEDS came through quickly and look great (one you've worked out how to remove the headlight units).
Apologies if this has been done before elsewhere, but will I pass my MOT with superLEDs, or do I need to swap a pair of traditional bulbs in for the test?

I read today that the first 1,000 lumens white LED has been produced in a lab; that's as "bright as a house light" and as a headlamp is around 4,000 lumens, perhaps it won't be too long before we see LED car headlights.
These developments have to be better than the government stupid insistence on replacing all incandescent bulbs with hard/expensive to recycle mercury filled fluorescent ones Dr. Ian Malcolm:

Phil, any of the 501w lamps will work as replacements for your interior lighting. Nessie on here opted for the ice-blue U5016C, but any of them will do the trick. Some people have found the blue/white light to be a little "cold" for interior lights, but if it floats your boat then the ones towards the bottom of this page should do it.

I've just counted up the number of bulbs needed to do the interior lights - ouch
Or maybe I've miss counted, lets see
3 in the mirror binacle
2 in the middle
2 at the back
That makes it seven, unless I count the puddle lights and so on
Add to that the amber ones for the indicators along with the replacement flasher unit
and the red ones for the rear fogs
and the white ones for the reversing lamps
(I've already done the sides, brakes and tails, and have the number plate lamps on order)
That's an awful lot of LEDs.
So glad that the DISCOVER10 is working
Maybe they wil consider a "DISCOVER15", or even better a "DISCOVER20" for those who replace all our lights....
