DISCO3 AUTO GEARBOX REFURB IN KENT / SUSSEX
Does anyone have any experience of good Gearbox rebuilders or exchange gearboxes in Kent or Sussex? I was looking at using the Gearbox Centre in Faversham to carry out this work (they trade under various regional names so appear to be a reasonable size) Unfortunately the cost is going to be the most I have ever spent on a car repair !! Does anyone have experience of this company or has anyone else used them for Landy or 4x4 repair? Any alternative ideas would be very welcome too...!

Dartford transmissions would be the logical ones down there05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system
12 RRS SDV6 HSE (Hers) - Gone and replaced with an I Pace - I can tell you now EV is not the future yet

Was it this company that was supposed to have a good name
Trying to remember if it was the same company I contacted when I had issues with my jatco gearbox on my old freelander

Thanks- but I would like some feedback or experience of them.... for example, why would Dartford Transmissions be a better one to use over another ? Thx

I used these peeps for my D3 gearbox refurb a few years ago. http://www.autogearboxes.co.uk/about.html . The gearbox was excellent after that, well for the 4,000 miles before the engine died and the car was scrapped.

Hi DSL
That sounds like the same company I used , they were exceptionally helpful when I had issues with my old jatco gearbox from my freelander
