RugbyMan : had same fault & symtoms when two clips were loose (   ) on the egr pipes ( forgive my non technical description) .Only manifested when I floored it.I was told I needed a new Turbo & EGR valves replaced.
Tightened the clips and all was solved.

Something similiar happened to me at 30,000km, the error codes indicated low fuel pressure so the stealer changed the fule pressure sensor. Problem persisted so the fuel pressure pump was changed next - problem solved. '06 Disco 3 TDV6 SE Buckingham Blue
