Disco Commercial

I have started the (long) look at cars for me, and remembered the Commercial, as it will be a company car this obviously appeals Smile especially having read the reviews on here for the 'occasional' rear seats.

My question though is can you get a sunroof fitted in the commercial? it doesn't list it on the LR site so i'm guessing its aftermarket. Does anyone know if someone has had it done?

thanks

Asked the same question from both local dealers in Derbyshire and was informed that the commercial cannot be specified with sunroof and in general it could only have considered essentials which could include bi-xenons etc. Unsure about trim though and if leather would be ok,

I am planning a Commcercial Disco purchase in the new year too. However, you will need to keep an eye on a new EU law that will limit all LCV's to 120kph. I read this was just agreed in May but no exact date for implementation appears to be quoted from what I have read. This deiscion was incorporated in reduced CO2 emissions with variuos dates over the next few years.

I would not want to buy a Commercial spec. with a speed limiter.

If you down load the Disco price list in .pdf from the JLR website you can see all the options clearly listed for the Commercial spec.

Mine has black leather seats as factory fit option - wasn't bothered about sun roof so can't comment.

Could always retrofit it from a trashed disco I'm sure Smile

Just need a jigsaw and some windscreen sealant Wink

Also the speed limiter is easy enough to remove anyway and leather is easily justifiable as its so much easier to clean and more stain resistant than the cloth type seats Smile

Rear seats for occasional use are good for showing clients around or moving staff around as well Wink

Sorry for being off the sunroof topic. But does anyone know how possible / easy it is to remove the abs coverings to the rear windows on the commercial?

As if I purchase one, I would simply want a very dark tint, but still have full 360 degree visibility.

You might be able to do it but the VAT man won't like it, nor will HMRC's benefit-in-kind tax inspector...

Why would HMRC want to know, having plastic bonded to the window is not part of the commercial law!!!!
Mine came off very easy, just prize one corner with a blunt knife , get a pair of plyers and pull the rest off slowly!
Job done!
