What's everyone's thoughts on new disco 5, is it me or do all the new models look the same they seem to be totally dropping the working vehicle range completely

I'm in denial, I'm pretending it isn't happening
Land Rover giving up on the Defender and the D4, without having a worthy replacement ready for either, is (as shocks go) a a bit like it might be finding out that Arnold Schwarzenegger has a secret passion for collecting Barby dolls
I might wear a black tie to work tomorrow 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄

I've heard on the grape vine that they might, just might, be dropping the split tailgate too.

Why not? The D3 looked very similar to a full fat RR when it was launched in 2004.

Disagree there ,the raised up back end and flat tailgate give it bags of boot space if u want a sporty 4x4 get an rr sport the whole point of a discovery was a defender with some comfort its lost its identity to me now

That comment made me go away and think for a few moments....

But they still look very different to me.
From the slab sides, ultra square profile, proper stepped roof, flared plastic arches, lopsided rear window and extreme height on the D3, to the castlated bonnet, floating roof and continuous band of flush glass on the Range Rover, there's much more to tell them apart than there is to see that's similar.2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
