This is actually a great collaboration between JLR and the Police over the last few years... The MPS has been working with JLR engineers for the last 8 years since these issues first came to light.
JLR were actively fed theft and recovery data and one of the few OEMs to take interest and come out and examine recovered vehicles to identify their method of theft...
Hats off to JLR! It is the new system fitted to 18 MY vehicles only and includes RRS FFRR and D5.
