Is that on your trailer or with a second known good trailer/board?It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

You need to check the CCF with a suitable diagnostic tool as suggested above to make sure towing is enabled, this switches the rear PDSensors off, allows the dash towing indicator light to operate when indicators are used and disables suspension height changes when a trailer is connected electrically. It can when others can't,

But it won't do any of that even with the CCF changes if it is a LED trailer board unless there are some resistors wired into the trailer electrics. The car simply wont know its connected...........
But the LED lights themselves will actually work fine.

I've only had 1 LED light board on my D4 but it worked as intended. The same set of lights did not work on my D3. My presumption is that the D4 electrics are less fussy.

D4's and RRS seem to be all slightly diffrent with regards to LED's and trailers/caravans.
I have just picked up a new caravann with LEDs, all lights worked as intended but the trailer warning on the dash did not. The caravan company supplied a small box of tricks to plug into the caraban lighting wiring which resolved the ssue, now all light swork and the warning on the dash also works.
However here is the rub. The caravan dealer confirmed it ppears to be down to each individual vehicle. They have supplied a number of caravans with LED's to D4 and RRS drivers some need the box of tricks some do not and infact the day I went over to pick the box of tricks up there was another D4 who did not have the issue, i connected my car up and the traile warning light did not work................
As somone has already said you need a box of tricks to get a better resistance and allow the car to realise it has a trailer fitted.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
