Disco 4 rear wheel arch removal

Hello team, so, I picked up some battle damage on a green lane trip

How easy is it to remove and replace the wheel arches on the rear wheels? I've checked youtube for a how to, found one for the front arches, looks simple enough, but nothing for the rear.

Also, I have a set of 18" compos for laning / off roading, and a set of 20" for normal road use. How feasible is it to change the arches along with the wheels? I was thinking I'd have a set of black unpoainted ones for trips out...

Thanks in advance.

Think the arches just pull off. Start at the door end. They then pull up and out at the bumper end. Expect to break a few clips though. Wouldn’t be something I’d be trying to take on and off all the time.

Getting them off isn't that hard but buy yourself some new clips ready for the re-install. Make sure you line ALL of them up before pressing on as well or you'll have gaps where you don't want them.

Was looking at this today, there are some sneaky retaining screws holding them in too. The clips are quite cheap. Will definitely have to look for a set of arches to put on for laning so I don't have to worry about scuffing them up. As I only use the D4 off road about twice a year (Albeit on some serious lanes!) I think it'll be a good addition to her protection line up

Swapped my painted arches out for the plain unpainted ones.
So much better, especially on grey.

From what I recall there’s a retaining screw behind at the top part of the door.
I also think one or two clips slide out rather than pop out, but not sure where.
Be prepared to break some, so as said, best get some extra clips.
Oh and the door arch also incorporates the door bottom straight section.

< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.
