Disco 4 in snow & ice

No real point to this post. I bought my disco because it is 7 seats, tow the odd thing and great app round car.

I got stuck out on the snow and ice on Monday, in Sussex, lots and lots of abandoned cars, plenty could not get up and over back lanes due to the ice and snow.

The disco was incredible, and I mean it really amazed me. Ploughed on through almost anything and everything, the best bit was I was towing a 10M long boat and trailer weighing in at just over 3 tonnes !!!

One of the main things i like about the Disco is knowing that it has the ability to always get you there whatever the weather throws at you Thumbs Up

Was in a car park a couple of weeks back when the snow came down.
The exit was on a slight incline ..needless to say I had no issue unlike the Merc & BMW who couldn't even get to the exit Laughing
 Cheers Ian

This is a little video from last Sunday I was coming up the hill from Stanhope in Weardale following the Ford Focus, the hill was extremely icy and the snow was just blowing over the top of it. As you can see he looses traction and then starts to slide down the hill backwards and onto the wrong side of the road Shocked I had stopped and managed to pull away on the same hill without any fuss what so ever Laughing

I did actually stop to help but wanted to be sure that nothing was going to come over the brow of the hill and find me and the Focus blocking an already icy road, so I got to the top of the hill and put my car on the wrong side of the road with the hazards on to warn oncoming traffic. But, by the time I had walked back over the hill a guy in a Ford Ranger was attaching a strop to the Focus so I just stayed at the top to warn traffic until they were clear. Thumbs Up

As long as you have the right tyres. Some tyres are a bit too road biased when the snow gets really deep.
