My Disco 4 in Iceland
I've wanted to bring our Disco up to Iceland since the day we bought it. This photo was taken in the hills south of Reykjavik the other day. In her element up here!

Thanks! Sunset - about 10pm I guess. One of the things that amazes me is how quickly you feel yourself to be in the middle of nowhere here. Martian landscapes are to be seen 10 minutes drive out of town.

I´m in Iceland very often as I work for an Icelandic company - and am here for a six-week stretch. Work mainly, but also adventure - they´re often the same thing here anyway
The simplest and cheapest way to do it for Brits is to send the car up from Grimsby (Immingham) to ReykjavÃk on Eimskip´s weekly container ship. Costs just over GBP 1000 to do so for the return trip. That cost being equivalent to about 5 or 6 days rental of a Disco up here in Summer
Leaves Immingham on a Thursday, gets to ReykjavÃk Sunday night.
The alternative (which must be fun, but lengthy) is to get to Esbjerg in Denmark, and go on the Smyril Line ferry via Faroes, docking in the east of Iceland.
