Just curious but what does setting towbar in the WDS do.
My guess is it stops you changing suspension height on the move when trailer electrics are connected. My car is going in for suspension and park brake warning lights coming on despite a new compressor being fitted 2 weeks ago. Should I get them to change the towbar setting now even thought I have not fitted it yet.

Suspension and brake warning light - was it the (P) or the amber (!) light, if it was the latter, sounds very much like the problem I had, which was apparently caused by water ingress to a blue multiplug behind the N/S/F wheelarch liner.
I'd ask them to 'tick the box' while it's in, it won't do any harm without the loom fitted as it will just 'think' there's no trailer fitted and carry on as normal. I think it only prevents height change to offroad height, whether moving or stationary, not sure about access height...
