| Disco 3 Tailgate! Im about to park it in the sea |

So tailgate playing up yesterday so today ive swapped the actuator with cable etc for one out of an 07 plate and i have swapped the top actuator/tailgate handle part over.
Still when tailgate has been shut I cant open it unless i long press the unlock/lock buttons even then its temperemental.
Check cable and that hasnt broken
Any ideas please anyone im at the end of my tether, thank you

I would get a new actuator and go from there.
Did you bench test the 07 plate one before fitting?

Just bought new switch for handle on tailgate and wired it in. Still exactly the same. Haven't got clue how to do the bench test so looks like all new parts and work through the lot

Sounds like its your actuator. Mine failed but when out of the car worked perfectly. New one fixed it.  New Defender L663 110 SE (known as Noddy!)

I hope it is im going to get that next. Try that one but I bought a 2nd hand one out of an 07 plate so unlucky to have 2 faulty ones but hey ho can only try and narrow it down.

Just replaced mine yesterday as intermittent fault, buy new Discovery3 TDV6 GS
