Disco 3 pricing
Hi guys
I am looking at buying a Disco3 on a 2016 plate... 150k on the clock, not much service history but I know the previous owner has looked after it well.
I have offered 5k but she wants 6.5k.. am I going in cheap or is she overpricing?
Cheers for any feedback
Forgot to say good condition but not excellent

Discovery 3 turned into Discovery 4 in 2010, so if it’s 2016 something’s wrong.

yeh if you mean 2006 then 6500 is abit overpriced
depending what spec it is and what its like then 5k is probebly about right, its what i paid for mine last year but its a top spec with full history and new cambelt and other work . It was also registered 3 days before super tax as well so cheap tax for me Discovery 3 - Black SE with HSE upgrade

Seems on the expensive side if it’s an 06 Plate with limited history...
By comparison, our daughter picked up an 07 plate last year with 180k on the clock and a couple of minor niggles to address, paying £2,700 - I suspect there will be a lot of unsold cars out there after lockdown, plenty of choice around...D4 Commercial - 65 Plate, 2016MY
D5 Commercial - Handed back when I left that job…
D4 Commercial (2014MY) - gone
D4 Commercial SDV6 - Baltic Blue (also gone)
D1 300TDi... 2" lift, HD bumpers (both), detachable tow hitch, 9,500lb winch, 235/85/16 muds and plenty of other toys (gone to make way for the next toy...)
Smiles per Mile - Tornado Motorsports caged Evo 3... 100" Defender look-alike, with Range Rover running gear - all fully IVA'd and registered!

Only paid just over 4k for mine last year with 123k on the clock, full service history and brand new tyres.

I paid £6750 for my 2007 XS with 91k on the clock and pretty much full history bar the oil pump which I had to have done. so £6500 for a 2006 with moon miles is way overpriced with no history.
Basically look elsewhere!

Bit the bullet. It was my brother/sister in laws. Full service history, cam/timing belt done at 117k, fuel pump replaced 2017.. loads of receipts in the wallet. He had the car since 2 years old, well looked after and not driven hard. Paid the 5k
