Hi
Have u checked the small intercooler hose right next to the turbo, I found a jubilee clip that was broke, ur see evidence of oil there if the hoses are letting by
Does the actuator arm move full movement and not just a little bit , if u have someone turn the ign on and off u can watch it move
As GS said, check your jubilee clips.
Mine kept dropping to limp mode when pushing the acceleration. Went down the route of freeing up the turbo actuator arm a few times, but also noticed a gunky residue about the hoses plugged into the turbo.
Jubilee clips were loose, and having tightened them, it hasn’t dropped to limp mode again ........ yet

Happy days a simple replacement of jubilee clips cured the issue
To be honest I couldn’t believe my luck as I thought nah surely not but also stopped the limp mode
Think I was very lucky as I managed to fit a new clip, sneaked it round the hose , wanted to fit a T bolt but the T bolt was too wide
Another sign was I heard like a whistle noise around 3,000 revs , which I think now was the air escaping past that hose
At least at the end of the day it saves serious money and agro not having to replace the turbo as my main dealer said it was

Good to hear it's sorted. I had a similar issue - losing all power at 3500/4000 revs in the TDV6. Turned out to be the fuel filter. Quick change, and all back to normal.
