Disco 3 air suspension failed! |
|
Happy new year - NOT!
My new Disco with 2300 miles on the clock has just been towed away. The air suspension warning came on, the car went into extended mode all by itself, and then proceeded to tell me via the info display that its suspension had failed, - drive below 30mph.
LR assistance came out to have a look, but could not really do anything. So he arranged recovery to my nearest dealer, and arranged for a hire car.
I do hope this is not a bad omen for 2005. The real annoying thing is that it will not be looked at until the dealer opens on Tuesday

I had similar problem recently. Resetting worked for a day then went back to limp home mode and a very annoying 'bing' every few seconds. Dealer then took 3 days to sort to where the problem was with LR on the phone for support.
Apparently the ECU connection had an issue and this has been fixed. Showed all circuits open on the test rig and the numbers generated finally allowed them to isolate the problem. Just done another 200 miles with no problems.
