With a whole lot more

Hi Bogblaster, congrats on the purchase - you should update your profile, at the minute it shows a 2005 D3.
This is the 2nd thing to do after the seatbelt mod.
Cheers,
YTA

Until tomorrow I can have both on my profile . I sold the 05 privately to a couple from oop North, he has spent a few hours browsing the site and has opted for the NFU insurance He is collecting it tomorrow, took a similar spec to mine out from a dealers and then tried mine avec JE re-map, big cheesy grin and that was it sold! Maybe there should be a 'considerably richer than thou' option to show more than one D3 on the left hand side.
No what you mean about the DVD, when I bought my D3 I had a choice of DVD or Sat Nav and went for the Sat-Nav.
I bought a portable (Argos jobby) DVD player for the back of the headrests for about £120 I use for when we go on holiday. It stays in the house the rest of the time.
Nowhere near as cool as the in built system but it stops the kids fighting over which DVD's they want to watch on the way to the Supermarket. Cheap and cheerful option leaving you with money for a re-map maybe.

Well I am down to one now and it honestly felt like watching an old friend when she was driven up the road by the new owners Was the best car I have ever owned and although I have a brand spanker in the same spot it had alot of sentimental value to me. Never thought you could get attached to a car.
As to the re-map, money already reserved for this, will be done once I have done 1000 miles and changed the oil. I am thinking about a twin DVD set up in the roof, but as I have rear aircon will have to go for smaller screens, the only gripe I had with the LR one was it completely obscured the rear view mirror, no quips about the ones on each side of the car please, I run lots of vans with solid bulkheads, but if it's there you use it.

If there is pressure in the seat then the airbags will be activated. They are also variable in their inflation based on weight on the seat I believe.
All you are doing by using the seat belt tip is turning on or off the audible alarm. You will notice the red seat belt warning symbol still appears if you have a seat occupied but not belt clipped in.
If no seat is occupied the airbag does not go off from what I understand. Side and curtain airbags would though.

I assume they will still be , because I still have the seat belt light coming on , but not the bonging - so I assume the car knows that there is somebody in seat
