Different brands front tyres to rear tyres bit same 265/60/1
Its it ok I will put 2 rear tyres yokohama geolander 265/60/18.. while the front is continental cross contact m&s 265/60/18?

Yes... Possible, and permitted... Just not advised because different tires (front and back) will get different grip due to different tread pattern.
The law states (at least here in Lux, and I think it is the same in the UK) that the tires on both sides of the same axle have to be the same.

2 pairs no problem on a Disco even if one pair are worn more than the other pair providing they are equal on the same axle. It can when others can't,

Hi,
in a perfect world you would have the same tyres with the same thread depth best suited to your use on all four corners
sadly not many of us live in a perfect world, Try and match same on each axle
but you can have all different on all corners and still be legal and MOTable
try and match Type of tyres as well, be that summer, all weather, all season, winters, all terrain or muds.
Tyres its a complicated choice thats why if you ask 6 peeps on here you will get 8 answers
