Bought these 20" Stormers, then realised I needed different tyres and nuts!

Changed the rear prop, both rear tie rods and the near side steering arm. Very enjoyable day.
I just need a place to do the alignment now, near Alcester if anyone knows a place?

Got the front diff replaced with a 2012 Range Rover sport one with 53K miles that I got for £90 delivered.

Was all ready to do the job myself, but then had to do a bit of extra work (at work) so took it to my local trusty garage and they did it for in in about 4hrs which saved me a mauling job.

It's now driving as smooth as silk, no nasty groaning/whining noises... I'm well happy Smile

What a week Rolling Eyes
started out with front OS driveshaft seal replaced then
OSR upper wishbone (what a nightmare job to do)
fitted all new braided brake hoses,
had to make up link pipes for the rear brake lines at they twisted as the nut was seized on
and made up new rear link pipes on the rear wishbones
(Many thanks to the members who'm posted about needing to make up new copper pipes and i got the kit
on their recommendation)
new brake disc's and pads all round and new hand brake shoes (what a nightmare to do those)
didn't help ordering the wrong brake disc's, i ordered the ones for a 4.4L and carriers wouldn't fit back on Shocked Embarassed Big Cry
ordered the correct ones and need to take a trip upto preston to take the wrong ones back.
only just realising i should have just got new carriers then i would have upgraded the brakes, not sure if the insurance would be happy about that though??
manually bled the brakes then bled them again with my GAP tool, wife had a good workout pumping the brake pedal for ages per corner, using 3.5 litres of brake fluid (luck i bought 5L bottle)
just waiting for Tesco to close to go and bed in the new handbrake shoes
Many thanks to Ian Bodsworth for his brake bible.

i don't envy you task, it was a nightmare to get the new shoes on.
if you can afford it send it in to a garage to be done
make sure you order the correct disc's, i ordered 4.4l disc's by mistake, hence car on axle stands all week
the correct part number is SDB000636 for normal

Rear shoes are ok if you put the EPC into the mounting position, the extra cable makes all the difference

Rear brake pipes replaced today 😎 fresh bill of health as it was the only advisory on the MOT.

Next job is to start ordering the timing belt kit/oil pump.
