I've painted my horrible Windscreen 'scuttle panel' (that usually Grey faded plastic thing that the Windscreen Wiper stick through)!

A couple of cans of cheap Black Acrylic & hey presto!

No I can sleep tonight lol

Sounds a bit weird, but i used decking oil on my scuttle. it was really really light grey and 'eaten'. Now a darker shade of grey at least. Seems to have lasted a good couple of weeks.

Last couple of days: All four handles now body colour, new black decals front and rear, black side vent

I never thought of putting oil on. Trouble is, it always washes off with the rain.

I'm dying to get my Disco 3 remapped.
I pull a large Caravan & once had to stop on a hill.
My car really struggled to get going again.

Today, I got up early, and drove from home in Stockport to Whitley Bay in Tyne & Wear. Did a bit of work there, then continued up through Coldstream to Edinburgh, where I am now.

The weather has been bad, with much flooding this afternoon/evening coming up through the borders. Car was perfect for the job. The only thing of note was that I was very glad to find a petrol station, the miles left was down to 55 and we all know that means about 10!

What did you do today - Discuss Here 8)

Had the following done at approximately 197500 km:

- new serpentine primary and secondary drive belts (PQS500221, PQR500330)
- replaced tensioners (PQG500030, PQG500220)
- replaced tension pulley (PQR500350)
- changed spark plugs, Denso IK16TT
- replaced PCV right valve cover (LR003380)
- replaced front ARB bushes and clamps with new ones (LR015339, RBU500100)

I sourced all parts, except spark plugs, as Land Rover original ones. I did look at different aftermarket bushes (superpro, polyflex, ...) but since I was unable to make my mind on pros/cons I eventually went with LR stock on these, too.

The drive belts weren’t knackered but the rubber was starting to show it was losing its elasticity.

Noticed on the way home that there were no more knocking from the front... Thumbs Up rear ARB bushes still to be done in a few days, hopefully it’ll remove the klunking I hear from there.

Old front ARB bushes:

Old serpentine primary belt:

good to know! my car have 130.000 perfect work but shortly i ll chenge it!

Got rid of interior LEDs after I chased a phantom electrical issue for several hours. Thumbs Up

IID gave a code along the lines of an open circuit to earth, the front row dome and second row dome lights didn’t work except for the middle one on both and the vanity mirror lights didn’t lift up.

Real problem was in the middle row dome, one of the LEDs didn’t work. Bought them from amazon.de https://www.amazon.de/INHDBOX-Glassockel-5...B00XVVWMCY in June. Won’t be buying again. Mr. Green
