Not bad at all.
The last few years we’ve had fairly mild winters and very little snow. Sometime back in 2008-2012 there were epic amounts of the white stuff.

Ok, confession time. That was also back then.
Milder winters = happy SWMBO = happy me.

After borrowing a neighbours breaker and it was absolute rubbish, the worlds biggest gatepost ball of concrete got pulled out with the disco.

Impressive! Low range? Did it come out easily?

Yes a lot easier than i thought. Low range just for more control. The expanding bolt was the smallest i had M8 only because thats the largest masonry bit i had. It was 12mm hole. Took it gentle incase it sheared and draped a net over incase the chain went flying into my truck. Took some load, got out to check and it was already out(middle photo).
Just wish id done it 2 hours before but hey!

On Tuesday my local Indy undersealed my D3. Cleaned off all surplus rust (wasn't too bad) and used Waxoil with some old engine oil mixed in. He reckons the added oil helps it to penetrate better as well as being a good metal protector.
On Thursday I drove to Launceston to an Alive Tuning agent and had the Alive remap. Old girl seems a lot smoother, pick up is much improved and the increase in acceleration and torque is noticeably better. I'm quite chuffed. It was the old girl's (Disco) 100,000 mile birthday.
Return journey was that much faster, so fuel economy was as before. 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

Stripped, cleaned and adjusted the parking brake. NS one was pretty much seized. Hopefully cures the intermittent screech.
Then fitted the new wheels (with AT3s).

Two punctures in the same amount of months
First one avoiding a five car pile up (ABS works then!) and picked up a bolt in the tyre. Plugged
Second one, a bit of flint off my gravel drive stuck in tyre and over time pierced it. Tyre wrecked due to the length of damage...the blimim thing was like a shark tooth.
Followed by an artic deciding to cut the corner and trim my passenger side...new wing, mirror, refurb alloy, bumper end.Series 2a V8 killed it
Series 3 ex coastguard
110 HiCap
110 rebuilt from pickup to 5 seated hardtop...got that one in a feature of LRO!!!
Disco 300tdi. White
Disco 300tdi. Iceland and back. What a trip and no frozen drumsticks!
P38. Loved that car. Still miss it.
MGZS 180 major smiles for miles. Gone.
D3...LED bulbs in and out. EGR blanked. Geoff flushed and serviced
MG TF - bought for SWMBO. She doesn't like it. Shame. To sell or not to sell.
Triumph Thunderbird 1600 - awesome
The continuing saga of the Anti Roll Bar bushes carry on for another year..... Replaced them for Poly ones at least 5 years ago, but they appear as worn and an advisory every other year on the MOT. This year absolutely fine, last year on their last legs apparently!! ------------------------------
