I was replacing trim struts on my b pillar when I noticed that on the driver side there seems to be a missing connection to the electronics.
what is the missing brown connection and does it explain why my rear entertainment doesn't boot?
Rebuilt my key fob using LR052882 so it looks like new. Having attempted to glue the rubberized covers back on I decided it was time to make the key fob less embarrassing.
I wanted to keep it looking original, so the eBay copies were no good. If you are doing the same take your time when dismantling your old fob, as you need to reuse two metal clips and the plastic release button on the top. This button it sprung, so careful removal is requited to avoid losing that important spring. Mine was reluctant to come off, so I was careful to break only bits I did not need to reuse.

4 New winter boots fitted.
Spare had less than 2mm over much of it so a good front went to the spare. Other front tyre into my “might be useful” store (aka the bursting at the seams garage).
Two rears replaced due to cracking sidewalls just above the bead which is symptomatic of towing with a heavy downforce on the ball without increasing the tyre pressure, particularly a problem with the low profile tyres on 20” rims.

Not too easy to see on a photo but this is the normal inside of the sidewall.

In this one there are bubbles under the inner liner of the tyre.

The sidewall is very weak with no pressure behind it. Definitely needed replacementsA visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.

Went out for a drive around my local(ish) LR independents to get some quotes for rustproofing my MY2010 D4.
Managed to get 3 quotes, ranging from £500 to £750 to £1100 +VAT. They’re all reputable LR Indies, understand the issues about masking off parts of the underneath, being careful of wiring & sensors etc, so I felt I’ve had quite a positive day.
I’ve told them I’m going to leave my decision until April 2025, so that the warmer weather will hopefully be here, and will assist in the drying out and the application.
Feeling very upbeat and happy with my Disco4 at the moment.I’m a Disco 4 believer. What a vehicle!

Is that a bottle of iron brew you are adding to the oil to strengthen the crank? 🫣Discovery commercial tdv6 auto 2013
