Deleting Bluetooth Phones |
|
The Owners Manual is quitre clear that the car can only bond to 8 bluetooth phones. Is there any tip/trick to show how many it is currently bonded to and to allow existing phones to be deleted from pairing? As a side issue has anyone been able to get a HTTC3300 (XDA Orbit/T Mobile MDA Compact 3) to bond and work successfully. Mine did once, then never again!

It's the phone that deals with the pairing ..not the PTI The PTI will just look for the last 8 handsets connected ...if they aren't present then another 8 phones could technically be paired. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

The PTI stores the last 8 paired phones, with any new pairings replacing those with the oldest 'last connected' time, unless IDS is used to reset the PTI module, there isn't any way (or need) to clear the pairing memory. although up to 8 phones can be paired, only one can be active at any time

Thanks DG and TFC - that makes sense. Now, anyone managed to get the HTC to bond properly - if so, how?
