How to delete a name in the phone book

Hi, does anyone know how you go about deleting a name in a D4's voice dial system.

I have one that says 'Delete' as I was trying to cancel it when I was inputting it. Doesn't sound like a problem I know but the system is a bit crap at recognising what I am asking for so is forever trying to dial it.

ME 'DIAL NAME', CAR 'AUTO DESTRUCT ENABLED!!!' Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch 😂

Just delete it from your phone, if that doesn’t work after you have removed it, delete the phone from the Bluetooth list and re- install it.
I must say the D4 module fitted into a D3 is far easier and logical to operate hands free than the D4. Shocked It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Delete name

Hi there,

it doesent exist on my phone. The disco voice activated bit allows you to select a number and allocate a name to it that just the disco remembers.

I read the handbook a lot, I can see how to add a name but not how to delete a name.

Can't quite recall what the 2010 menu structure is ....but try this on the screen:

Home Menu>Settings>Voice Settings>

...it should give you an option to add, edit or delete individual voice names Smile 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Update

Well quite by chance I discovered how to do this today. You press the voice activation and ask it to read through your stored names. It tells you that at any name you come to you can pres the voice activation again and say dial or delete. So I did and it worked. Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch 😂
