Very Happy

It's a good point, I included them as the originals disintegrated when removing for body-off.

So it was technically even cheaper then!

So in that sense they're a consumable required for body-off work. Thumbs Up

Everybody loves the "will it start" video so here you go:

Note - this is actually the 3rd attempt. 1st the battery didn't have enough charge, 2nd there was air in the fuel line but this only took a few minutes to fix so...

I don't know about you, but I was very relieved when mine started after having the body off, never mind and engine swap. Laughing

Thanks to all the support and info on here, it's now up and running nicely. I have two small problems.

1) Sometimes it won't start in the morning without bleeding the fuel so there is air getting in somewhere.
2) I checked the codes and it showing knock sensor errors (there are none on the new engine, but the old one had them) - can I just ignore these?

Thanks!

isn't it easier to just fit the knock sensors (if you have them)

The whole wiring loom is different so not really Smile - but if necessary it could be done. I'm not sure it matters though?

Fabulous work. It puts the comparative trivia that I deal with on my car completely in the shade.

Respect! Thumbs Up
