Where are all the deals?
Hi
Im looking to buy a new or pre-reg Disco
(Or poss a 6-12 month one if the price is right)
My local dealer in Sheffield is being stubborn about giving me money off
As far as they are concerned the 0% finance from LR is all he'll negotiate
I find this a bit hard to swallow
I can get £££££ off from a broker
Due to the impending economic meltdown I can potentially see 4x4 prices taking a dive thus am trying to get off as much as I can now
Even this dealers second hand fleet is stupidly priced
I have a car I would prefer to part ex for various reasons and so am still thinking about the dealer route, obviously I would be better off selling privately and using the broker - I know that
So who has got a bargain recently from a dealer and where please?
If you 'need' to part-ex a car then the ball isn't quite as far in your court as you may wish to believe I'm afraid..... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

I'd phone around a few dealers, suss them out and see what they can do without PX.
If you get a decent response go look and see what you get for your money.
If decent, you should then sell you own car privately....... always on the road less travelled 🚧

There are deals out there, just get on the phone, try the LR website too as lots of ex-demo vehicles on there. I have just picked up a '56 plate HSE Auto with 14k miles on the clock for a smidge over £22k which I reckon is damn good!!2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

My mint HSE is coming up to 3 years old (48k) next month and I wanted to trade in for another 1 year old again. Found a great one with 7k on the clock in great condition. The dealer wanted my car +£15,000 to swap. Knowing what 1 year old HSE's go for, that makes my car worth about £17,000 !! Does this sound right?
I think I'll be keeping mine and run it into the ground at these prices.

Try J V Like in Brecon. I just bought from them, and they were willing to do a deal and take my TD5 ES in part-ex. Ask for Adrian.Have you ever known a swan to break a man's arm?

Try Martin Freeman, salesman at Stratstone Nottingham. He's a disco3-er (Highbridgflyer). He's done deals for few forum members.

Give Guy Salmon in Wakefield a try, just done me a cracking deal for a 08MY SE on a 57 plate for under 25k.

Yes, I have noticed the deals that were to be had when I last asked (9 months ago) are no longer there. Demo cars 3 months old chalked up at list price and yes sir we will sell them at that price
As you say if you are p/ex it is a none starter crews control. Still not long until the sub 10K HSE for all those folks out there
D2's seem to be a better bet currenly looking at my local dealers forecourts!!end of an era ....... maybe a Defender when it appears.......
