same crew that wanted to charge me for a FBH reset, when it wouldnt work. Do admit though, once we'd exchanged choice words, FBH was replaced under warrenty, car valeted and returned no problem. Still, not my first choice of dealership. More interested in trying to make sure I gave them good marks on the LR feedback form.

Guy Salmon Coventry ... owned by Stratstones.
Fortunately, they aren't. Guy Salmon is a Sytner Group dealership. As yet, they don't appear to have sunk to the depths of S stones (which is owned by Pendragon <spit> and is awful in all its variants -- I had the misfortune of dealing with their Volvo dealer in Stockport).

Well it turns out my car does have heated rear seats!
After they carried out a £20+vat test they determined the fuse had gone, which is not covered under warranty so they also charged me 63p for tha aswell as the £23.50 for the test.
I explained they worked just fine until they replace the front seat cushions 3 months ago and have not worked since. I could not prove it though!

I nearly bought a 07 plate from Guy Salmon - Coventry.
There sales guys seemed quite good and knowledgeable, gave me the tour round the buttons and switches and new what model had what. I presume they all get a little training session on model changes.
It can't be that difficult LR only have four basic types.

Write to them stating what happened as above, ask them to refund the money. If they refuse write to tell them you will be taking a legal action agiainst them. At the same time copy you correspondence to Landrover Customer care asking for their view before you have to take further action.
Be tough with dealers in this type of situation, it's the only way to stop them getting off with this type of nonsence ie. they checked and replace a fuse and charged over £23.00 ridiculous!

..of course it is feasible that the fuse went after the previous visit 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

I would say a £20 charge for diagnostics is madness, as technicians they should know to check the fuse first, so it would take maybe 2-3 minutes. If it involves using "diagnostic" equipment then this should be under warranty (if you still have one) as it is obviously not a DIY job. There is nothing you should be able to do which would make the fuse blow unless there was some kind of fault.

I am sooo glad I don't have to deal with dealers like that.
I can never imagine my dealer charging me anything to test and change a fuse.

It is a bit petty I agree and I like Simon I can't imaging my dealer charging me. However, there is every possibility that the dealer would have expected the relevant fuse to be checked for the inoperative equipment. The manual does state that should a fuse blow on second occasion then technical advice should be sought. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
