Dealer has no D3's wtf ?
So my D3 is in at the dealer for warranty work, been booked in for over a month and they know the parts that they are swopping.
Got a call this afternoon, your car wont be fixed today as we don't have xyz part in stock and can't get it till Monday. Ok fair enough i guess you can't stock everything so I'll drop the FL2 loaner back and pick up a D3 as I need a 7 seater over the weekend (4 kids + swmbo expecting a trip to Alton Towers waterpark tomorrow).
Sorry we don't have any D3's. Huh you me a dealer with no D3? Yeah that's right we don't have any.
This is the same dealer who a) failed to do a service despite being booked and a 40 mile round trip dropping off and picking up b)then did the wrong service c)didn't fix any of the reported faults resulting in a month wait.
Do they get the award for being the worst LR dealer in the country ?
Guy Salmon Stratford-upon-avon congratulations.

Strange that Stratstones in Cheltenham had a load of D3's a month ago. I drove past today and all they had were Freelanders (mainly black and silver) one FFRR and one D3 Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

Why would a dealer go to the expense of buying and keeping a fleet of D3's just to use as loan cars when the Freelander 2 is just as capable for 99% of their customers needs ?
They do run a business you know... not a like for like free to hire car company.
Most dealers would give you a Fiesta, or Nova to some such... ie the cheapest of their range to keep on hand just for customers to use when their car is in for attention. And to keep their customer mobile.
Currently we have a Freelander 2 on free loan while our 10 year old Freelander 1 is in for major attention. I would not expect a D3 or FFRR.

Agree with that I have never had anything better than a Freelander when my car has been in or more often than not an old Vovo S40 that they have knocking about.
The easiest thing to do is to get it picked up from the office and dropped back when its done. Or better still get 10forcash to do it while you stay in the warm Global Warming.... I'm luvvin it

TBH, the last few times my D3 has been in I've had a TDV8 FFRR
But unless I need to have a D3, a Freelander 2 or Defender 90 is more than welcome as a loaner
And yes... TFC coming to your home and performing magic is a big bonus
