Just had reports of a health check from the dealer and they've sent me this (not discussed with them on the phone yet):
Transmission
O/S/R Diff half shaft seal weeping 54.10.21 Oil seal - differential housing - RH - renew 1.2
£332.95
Steering/Suspension Front
Play in O/S/F Track arm 57.55.07 Ball joint - track rod - each - renew 0.3 57.65.04 Steering geometry - check +adjust (inc castor, camber, king pin inclination, toe in/toe out on turns, rear wheel alignment) 1.5
£644.88
A few questions for people:
1. Are these serious issues that I should get fixed ASAP? Are they MOT fail items?
2. Do the prices sound reasonable or am I better off booking in with an Indie to do the work?
TIA

General consensus of opinion on here is Indie every time.
It's your choice but, IMHO a good indie will give better service and better prices than a dealership.
If you don't know of a good indie near you then a search on here will probably give a few suggestions or ask the knowledgeable ones

Yes I thought that would be the answer
I have no general sense of whether these prices are reasonable or expensive or whether these are jobs that are better done at the dealer. They sounded like pretty normal jobs that could be easily done by an Indie to me but I'm no expert.
Any thoughts on how critical these issues are to get fixed?

I would buy any parts required from sponsor Advanced Factors and have an indie fit them and do the other work that is required. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Put it this way, an Indy will not be far off half the hourly rate of a dealer.
It depends on how bad these things are as to how soon they need doing, but:
Play in suspension will cause uneven wear on tyres,
Oil leaking, worst case, will cause premature wear/failure if it’s too bad.
Maybe get a second opinion from an Indy, it’s not unheard of for dealers to encourage work to be done when not immediately necessary, how many people have been told brake pads need doing way too early. Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Indie. I don't know what your experience of that dealer is but all my own dealer experiences put me off using them...

Just double check before purchasing parts.
Our PLI does not cover us for fitting customer supplied parts, and I know many other garages who are in the same position... My D3 Build Thread

I spoke to the dealership and the oil seal is just a weep. I had a look back at last years service and there was a weep then but they only listed it as a warning.
There is only a little play in the suspension so apparently not critical or an MOT fail.

I didn't mention they also quoted the following:

There was no way I was planning to pay that!

PLI aside the law is on the side of the consumer, so for example you buy parts for your car (new or 2nd hand) and a garage fits them, said parts fail and in the eyes of the law the garage are responsbible.
This is why many will tell you to swivel

The price for wipers is ridiculous - the fixed price 3+ used to be £45 for both wipers. 15 3.0 RRS HSE - Silver
05 2.7TDV6 S AUTO Silver - Retro-fitted Leather.

I still think a £60 quote for a rear number plate bulb takes some beating, because it was an mot fail and it is a 30 mile trip home and back I told them to do it, 30 minutes later they rang me back to say they couldn’t as it was a none genuine fitting It took me all of 3 minutes to change it.
In your case they would not do the wheel alignment, they would send it elsewhere, a 4 wheel alignment costs around £70, but it will make a tremendous improvement on handling and steering. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
