Daytime running lights
Does anybody no of the file that the stealers use to activate tha DRL. They fitted them to mine now they are telling me that the tech people at landrover have to write a file. Come on this is !!!!ahhhhhhh

Are you saying they fitted the aftermarket ones ... The ones that go low down on the bumper ?
If yes .. There is no such file as these are designed to be fitted by the general publicG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Hi wings. Yea these are supplied by the dealer. I have seen them on D4's in the show room and work brilliantly as mine is an 11 model year what is the problem. So u say they can't be configured. .???

Yea tose are them. But mines a march 11 and there's no configuration

There is no configuration ... They must have wired them up wrong
The instructions are above .. There is nothing on there that says any thing needs to be activatedG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

I remember seeing some one fitted them themselves and they didnt work and said they would have o get he stealers and get them configured. I will look up and see the outcome

Just looked it up ljason 286 from Canterbury fitted them himeself in October and had to take then to the stealers for activation. But no feed back

After i fitted the lights switched on started car and lights not on
Only to find out i had lights on auto and DRLs go out when head lights come onRemote time climate

I had a email from my dealer monday asking me how i did the lights because a dealer in kent can not get them to work. the email reads
We have had a call from Beadles sidcup they are fitting a set of the day time running lights to an 11 plate disco 4 , and they cannot get them to work,
Both the cars we have fitted them to are brand new 2012 mdl years and our tech who fitted them is off on hols today
May seem like a mad question to be asking a customer, but I Know you fitted your set recently , was there anything you did to get yours to work that I can tell them
please ? Only that yours is a 2011.5 mdl year the same as the car at BeadlesRemote time climate

Hi. Sorry to mention you're name etc etc etc. Eventually got my car back today, and all working. Now for the story. The problem was a bad earth. Yea eart how can it take 4 days and variouse phone calls to LR to sort this out?????? Well all fixed and I only got charged for the parts. No labour. HAPPY
