Dashboard Lights - don't work in cold

Hi,

I've had two D3s now, and both of them take offence at being required to have the Dashboard Lights working one its cold and the vehicle has just been started - anyone else suffer this issue (and maybe got it sorted)?

Neither the radio, centre console or dashboard/speedo lights work. Turning the engine off and restarting doesn't do anything, turning the lights off or fiddling with the variable dial does nothing.

Then, all of a sudden everything comes on - at a totally random lenght of time after starting the vehicle and having the lights on.

The main issue is that the vehicle's lights have been turned on because it's dark - therefore with no Dashboard lights it makes it a bit of a challenge seeing your speed in the dark. Driving along holding a torch isn't an options I'm contemplating.

I have experienced the same strange behaviour since it got cold. Recently I found that it helps to dim/brighten the dashboard lights. Question

Mine has done that once. Flicking to main beam and back got them working.
