Charge the battery up, then take the battery cables off and hold them together for 20 seconds (you may need a metal something to join them).
then put the cables back on and reset the clock. Will then appear again. I'm guessing that you could only see --/-- on the dashBodsys Brake Bible
Clock/ SNOTM /3Flash / 4x4Info /BT Update /Service Reset/Error Codes / Gearbox Reset See It Here

I've tried to flash my 05 V8 HSE with the 3 flash indicator SW (don't remember the SW code anymore, I've picked a random one from the Flashtool) and had faced some issues with 2 warning messages coming from Low coolant and park brake even they are fine, so the HW YAH500121 (mine) should be flashed with compatible SW. From the Flashtool available SWs there is no update for my cluster since the original has been issued.
Does anyone know a compatible SW for YAH500121 please?

Yes, with IID flash IPC with “MY07 for pre-MY07” software image. Then (or before) enable 3-flash in CCF. That’s it.
Edit: update BCM for 3-flash, IID does that too. IPC update gets you the clock.

Very true - BCM update for 3-flash, IPC for dash clock. My bad to mix two things, I was reading the previous post and thinking of the clock (subject) while the gentleman was asking for flash.

Hi Discogaz!
I discovered what happened...
i've got an yellow engine light (long story...configuration error on engine management...still there)...
with this firmware, the lights changed place...now the engine light in on brake light.
A friend found two diferent pics from dashes...I will try to upload them
if you look at them both you will see that the engine ligh change place with the brake one (hope you understand my english )
