I'm trying to work out how it got the damage. Rolled? I've not heard of a D3 rolling yet They want £21k for it as a BIN. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

A couple of scenario's
a) she took to the car with a 6 iron after he was caught cheating on her! Not one straight panel!
or
b) being caught up outside the SCG surrounded by bay 13 fanatics straight after the Australia V England second final, whislt playing "god save the queen" really loud on your car stereo!
My pick is a) What's the point.... it all comes out in the wash anyway!

Front, top, and side damage. If it was a roll it was a very "light" one - all the windows look ok Disco 5 HSE Lux

I wouldn't want to see the size of her 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Seen a few rolled D3's and the body didn't look very different to that although there was some broken glass. It's a tough car but that looks like it's got suspension damage too.

Rolled in real world or test conditions Joe? I've often been asked how easy it is to roll them. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Driven into a (too low) multi-storey car park then left stuck for a few hours of vandalism......
Actually, having looked hard at the photos on the sellers website, I reckon the car has had a slow roll (probably from a near standstill down a soft ground embankment) starting on the passenger side and possibly ending back on its wheels with a heck of a thump. o/s suspension looks 'out' and I notice there are no shots of the alpine roof. Ad says SE but it's a full HSE. Still surprised that there's no window damage though.....

Well JMC, that seems a more than plausible description of event ...

Thinking more than I should on a Sunday It can't be a rollover because the PTI binnacle would never have withstood that 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Real life x 2 and test conditions x 1. I understand that in terms of rolling them it is easier to roll a FFRR but they are pretty good. My involvement tends to be more about how the withstand the crash and that is excellent. I have to say that the most impressive is the XC90 where they can roll it 6 times and still open and close each door. D3 was crash tested at the Safety Center in Gothenburg and it performed very well with LR's techies learning a lot from their Swedish friends. I read somewhere that stats show a higher incidence of D3 roll overs per MMT in France than anywhere else. No idea why this should be the case.
I was involved with a case last year where a RRS performed badly in a side impact and it showed how it really needed the same chassis set up as the D3.
Try and keep yours sunnyside up Rich!!

I hit a tree on a steep slippery slope last December . Even though I ended up sideways on the track I never once felt that it was going to go over .....despite the momentum and a 20 - 30deg angle 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Lets look at the possibilities: 1] Accident Damage ie shunt, 2]Vandalisim, 3] Roll-Over 4] Storm Damage.
Don't reckon its - 1] as damage is in all the wrong areas. Nor 2] though bodywork could look like it was attacked by someone with a serious grievance - but they would not be able to wreck the suspension!!
3] Roll-Over, possibly? But why No Broken glass esp rear bonded side windows. Why is the Drivers door mirror still in reasonable contact and what about the frontal damage, specifically under the front OS Foglamp.
I reckon it could be 4] a tree could have fallen on it [and extra damage caused by recovery] ???

Rich. Wondered how you hit that tree with the n/s wing. Sideways down there I'm glad I didn't know about that before I went sideways on the Toboggan Run. Disco 5 HSE Lux
