So it performs well on the twisty, undulating Nurburgring, but what about our equivalent, the Nurburgwrong, which features massive potholes, raised manholes covers and 'traffic calming' features in the middle of the road!!!!Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Ah well, as long as it handles the 'ring' OK, no need to test it off-road then.
Indicative of where LR's priorities now lie with this new Disco....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

I see in some of the shots the roof rails are visible, is this the start of a slow reveal of some of the fixtures and fittings Cheers Ian

Still no clearer what the tailgate is like but it deffo does not look vertical.
Noticed some issues/anomalies on this:
1. Car pulls out of gate & has 1 black she'll N/S/F, silver N/S/R
2. Car suddenly has 2 black wheels on N/S
3. Car then has 2 silver wheels on N/S
Is this witchcraft or just an efficient hidden German version of a pit stop?Paul.

I hate to see the focus of the testing on the 'ring but to be fair to LR, you can be sure that is not the only testing being done, it is just the most visible and most reported.
Hoping that this is the real, all round beast that will be a suitable replacement in years to come for my Disco. Having spent a lot of time on the D2 forums over the years (had a couple of D2s that I loved, but still love my D3 more), the reaction to the arrival of the D3 was probably something similar, ooh too much electrics, where are me levers, where is me side swing door etc. The new Discovery will be a huge leap forward most likely and we will not like all the changes straight away.
But how many of us would go back to a D2 now? Now project yourself a few years down the track and the world has moved on so much.
However the costs . . . . now that is another story!

Im sure they are testing all over the world offroad, onroad, cold and hot climate etc this is just something they need to do and tick the box off with the usual "leak" onto the internet as with all manufacturers.
Looks well though.
