hi, i recently joined the D4club with V8 that came with nokian hakka...R2 suv tires in 255/50/19.
i'm looking for a summer/all season tire in 255/55/19, H rated, but can't decide on what is best for this car. it'll have to cope with some occasional greenlaning( i have also a classic with BF AT2) and yet be good on highway and wet roads.
i was thinking of cooper at3 sport, goodyear at adventure, pirelli at plus (or even michelin crossclimate).
it is not easy to find reviews on those tires, so i would like to hear your opinions.Thx

Welcome to the V8 club
My wife has Michelin cross climates on her 4x4 Vitara and they are superb, even in the 100mm of snow we got caught in a week ago. How they perform on a car (D4) that weighs 3 times as much I don't know.

yes i also fear that the weight of the car can be an issue and wonder what performance they will give off road
i read the goodyear can change caracter rather suddenly at high speed ( and the car is not slow )
the discoverer at3 seems to have good reviews but i haven't seen one of the sport version of it
anybody read about it, or even better has experience with it?

I run the Grabber AT3 on my RRS (similar weight to the Disco) and have found them to be very good on road. They work well off road when new. I'll find out this weekend how well they work when worn.
I run 255/55/19 111H XL which is Disco size/rating compatible I believe. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

i am still wondering if this car deserves a good highway touring tire or a mild off road tire
it is such a comfortable car with few NVH
due to circumstances i will have to do a lot of only highway miles
at highway speed most noise now comes as a rumble of my tires ( or from the differentials? )

I’ve got Nokian R2 SUV in 255/55R19 as summer tires. They seem to last well and I like them. I don’t drive much on non-roads.
Not sure if Continental makes an equivalent of PremiumContact 6 for SUVs but they’re really quiet on our other vehicle in 225/50R17.
