Autocar comparison with video.
http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/248457/
Verdict from the test - D4 better in every way on the road; D4 and LC as capable as each off the road but D4 much easier and more comfortable...
Oh, and one line from the opening chat..."we know people don't spend 40k on their cars to take them off road..."
Don't they... Damn...that's where I've been going wrong then... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
Club "yes, I too have had the EGR's replaced..."
Club "yes, I too have had the compressor replaced..."
Club "yes, I too once had the car at the dealer for a couple of weeks nearly 4 weeks over 4 weeks...5 weeks"
Club "yes, I too have had EPB failure..."
Club "yes, I too get mysterious bings and bongs..."

Not much of an offroad test, but the D4 clearly has the better looks, in my opinion.

He is correct in saying both as equal offroad. But the cruiser only wins int he market because it has so many after market goodies to make the vehicle more capable in remote offroading situations. But really, if you had the money you know the disco will win all the time!

I have had 3 land cruisers , 2 shoguns, 1 vw touareg and now a disco 3.
In my opinion none of the rest compare for luxury, looks and from what i have read off road ability.
Land cruiser is bullet proof reliability though.
And the disco 3 is the sorest on fuel I have had but all in all i an very happy with it.
