D4 Valet mode
ive never used Valet Mode - I think it restricts access to the boot, but what else does it do?
does it restrict performance etc - its probably in the manual but ive not looked.Duncan

There was some suggestion it locks the glove box,but on mine it just restricts access to the infotainment system (phone contacts,Home location etc)
Haven't tried the boot,what would the point of that be ?..... It's not as if its inaccessible from the inside of the car "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Yeah I know,im not sure why it was suggested.....but thinking about it,it wouldn't be that hard,or expensive,to do....a small actuator with a extendable locking pin,such as the ones that a central-locking fuel flap use would do the job ...link it into Valet Mode and its job done.....now where do I collect my "reward for new ideas" from LR ?
