D4 Suspension deflating

Hey All,

So it seems that I have a problem with my suspension. Every now and then, the rear seems to deflate (whilst stationary) and with the amber triangle on the dash, it seems to struggle to re-inflate.

I checked the fuses and the 60A fuse seems to have blown. All this and reading through the forum, it seems to indicate that I would need a new compressor. Searching the net, there are a number of used compressors out there, but does the D4 share compressors with other models?

Thanks in advance.

If you have an GAP IIDTool you can install also a AMK Compressor and upgrade the SW without dealer aid

with the compressor revision/change it is better to install also a new compressor relay

Great.

How does one go about checking for air leaks? I think if its the compressor, I will just get a new one.

Hi All,

After further investigation, I think I have an electrical shorting somewhere. Now, I remember reading somewhere that there is a common area where the wiring loom rubs and gets exposed? When I hit a bit of water during the recent rains, the system short straight away.

Could somewhere point me to where to look and how to get to the problem area?

Ta.
