D4 steering wheel retrofit to a D3

I have a D4 steering wheel to fit to my D3. Will the D3 air bag fit the D4 steering wheel

Yep it's a straight swap.. Although the D3 airbag is slightly different in that it is 'raised' not 'smooth' on front.. But purely cosmetic 👍

The wheel will fit but the buttons won’t work out of the box.
