Had my D4 nearly 6 months, and I am pretty sure that every so often it emits what can only be described as a squeek or squark, almost animal like. I have heard it 3 times now when just knocking about in the garage, first two times I just dismissed it, but now I am pretty sure it is coming from the car (it is quite quick and hence can't move to listen and locate it) So it is quite rare when it happens, is it possible that it is air from the suspension or something, anyone else heard anything from theirs? This isn't a noise just after the car has been used, it has been sitting there a few hours or longer in some cases?

D3's had issues with mice attacking and nesting around fuel tank under car. Apparently they like eating the fuel tank plastic!!! Might be worth checking MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

Yes it appears several D4s have got this, mine is one and I know of an RRS that does the same chirp every now an then. It's the alarm sounder not mice nesting

Mine does it shortly after locking it after a journey.
Meant to ask the dealer when it's next in for service.
Usually three chirps and sounds like a cross between a squeak and a squawk, or a blackbird being murdered.
Comes from around the OSF wheel area I think..?

Is it not just the suspension farting?
D3 certainty does this, but the D4 seems more polite, as I've never heard mine do it yet. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.
