D4 sounding the alarm when unlocking the car?

Any ideas why it would suddenly start doing this?

Car is locked by the handle and when another handle is grabbed to open it sounds the alarm?

No door open warnings etc and no low battery warning when starting the car.

Horn sounding not an alarm siren.

I could be wrong about this!! but I thought it sounded to tell you it had been activated / triggered since last locked.

Are you sure all doors, bonnet and tailgate are all fully secured.

Someone who knows better will be along shortly Whistle

and it's a rare D4 if someone has managed to get the horns to sound instead of the ultra quiet alarm * !!

* it isn't actually quiet, but it's inside a virtually sound-proofed box under a sound-proofed bonnet.

Hello,

I would check the interior monitor sensor. Plug the GAP in and have a look to see if it’s faulting.

My friend’s DS had the same symptoms when locking the car. This was his faults.

BCM-Body Control
B112C-87 (2F) Interior motion sensor - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message
B112C-96 (2F) Interior motion sensor - Component failure - internal failure

If you unplug the alarm horn then the car defaults to using the standard car horns to sound the alarm if it's the same as a d3. Popular mod and scares yhe crap out of people when it goes off if you have air horns fitted. Rolling with laughter
