D4 Signature lights used as DRL

I have recently purchased a 2010 Disco4 HSE and have requested from LR Centurion to use the Signature lights as Daylight Running Lights. In other words I wanted the LED lights to switch on when the light setting is on auto and the vehicle is switched on. Apparently this cannot be done and I lost a kilo in Biltong on a bet that it can be done by programming alone Sad . LR have however changed the settings so that the LED and normal low beam lights switch on when auto light is selected and the vehicle is on, so now my lights are basically always on. Not exactly what I wanted. I understand that apparently LR never intended the LEDs to be DRL from a design perspective, why I really do not know Rolling Eyes , but I still want them always on.

So the question is, can this possibly be done any other way and if so where? I have read on the internet that on mud island there is a place that can do this for you where they hard wire the led's to another power point which is switched on as car is switched on, think it was diesel pump if I recall corectly?

Yes I know that the same could also be achieved by switching the light on park setting, but then you get the annoying bong when you get out the car and forget to switch it off. Call me spoiled and lazy, but I want this to be part of the auto setting on the lights.

Baden or anyone else out there with some ideas?

can't be done via programming, not even with a faultmate or autologic

the only way is to hardware the LED's to an ignition source, but you have to modify wiring inside the headlight to achieve this.

somewhere on this forum or maybe the RRSPORT forum I saw a post that detailed the mod. search around a bit and you should find it

It's strange that the D4 can't have it but you can on a 2010MY FFRR Whistle
